The Greek Parents Association has produced a documentary based on the testimonies of twenty five Cypriots who immigrated to the UK during the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. It records for posterity their journeys, experiences, difficulties, struggles, sacrifices and successes and through them the history and progress of the Cypriot community of the UK
The documentary was premiered at Bruce Castle Museum, London on 4 June 2006 and will be screened in other cities where large Cypriot Communities live.
The documentary will also be distributed free of charge to all Greek Cypriot Community schools in the UK together with a resource pack that would help teachers to explain and discuss the Cypriot Diaspora with the children.
